Building a Kinder Baraboo: The Baraboo BE KIND Initiative
From a nearby community's loss, the Baraboo BE KIND Initiative emerged.
The mother of the child who's life was lost said "she hoped EVERY community would do something like this to spread awareness".
Our first order of business was to get two banners in each of the schools in the Baraboo School district; one for mental health awareness and one for anti-bullying. We also sent a letter with a BE KIND sticker attached to every student in the district to remind them of the importance of being kind to everyone including their parents, bus drivers, teachers, coaches, classmates, etc.

Our true goal is to see yard signs in every home and business in Baraboo! The more signs that are visible, the more reminders there are for everyone to simply be kind to one another. This will make our community and world a better place to live!
Currently, signs are available for sale at Community First Bank, Baraboo Burger Company, The Relish tray, Tin Roof Dairy and Amber Moon Floral and Gifts. The sale of the yard signs is how we raise money to keep the kindness going in Baraboo! We are also looking for neighborhood ambassadors that would be willing to put a sign in their yard telling people that they can purchase yard sign from them.
