The Baraboo Be Kind Initiative is proud to announce the successful launch of our first project within the Baraboo School District!
We’ve partnered with each school to display two prominent banners – one promoting mental health awareness and another advocating against bullying. These constant visual reminders serve as a powerful message for students, encouraging them to prioritize kindness and inclusivity within the school environment.
Kindness Starts with “I”:
To further emphasize the importance of kindness, we reached out to every student across the district with a personalized letter and a special “Be Kind” sticker. These letters serve as a reminder to students to be kind to everyone they encounter, including parents, teachers, bus drivers, coaches, and of course, their classmates!
Together, We Make a Difference:
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to raise over $1,000 to support this initiative! These funds directly contribute to spreading kindness and fostering a more positive and supportive school environment for all Baraboo students.
This is just the beginning! Stay tuned for updates on future Baraboo Be Kind Initiative projects as we continue to work towards building a kinder and more inclusive Baraboo for everyone.
Our goal is to spread the word throughout our community with constant reminders to be the “I” in KIND. We hope to spread the importance of anti-bullying and of mental health awareness.

Each school will be distributing a letter and sticker from Baraboo Be Kind, encouraging everyone to embrace the power of kindness. As the community witnesses the impact of the initiative through sign sales, Baraboo Be Kind has used the profits to purchase two large banners for each school in the district.
